Dear Guests,
At last we have been given the thumbs up to re-open and I’m so pleased to be able to welcome all our past and new guests.
However nothing is ever that simple and we have been given Government guidance for the safety of all concerned. As with all accommodation providers I have had to put some necessary measures in place.
Should you feel unwell or have symptoms of Covid 19 before your arrival please let me know asap and do not travel to us. The guidance is that you should stay at home and self-isolate.
Should you develop symptoms while you are here you need to immediately inform me, leave and return home to self-isolate. However if you are too ill to travel I will contact a health care professional and also our local authority who may decide you need to be hospitalised. In the event that you have to stay and self-isolate then we will discuss how we are going to manage the situation but you will be expected to pay all costs.
Hopefully this is very unlikely to happen.
Please telephone me when you arrive so I can greet you and direct you to your room. I’ll be the one dressed like a bee keeper (just joking). You will also need to register full contact details.
Before you arrival your room will have had a deep clean including all contact points (handles, switches and objects that may have been touched)
Obviously you will have fresh bedding but you will also have fresh pillows. All unnecessary soft furnishings will be removed.
During your stay I won’t be entering your room for cleaning etc. Cleaning products will be left in your room should you wish to use them. This reduces the risk of transmission. There will of course be supplies of tea/coffee and biscuits etc. in the Guest Lounge. There will be a guest bin just outside the main entrance for any rubbish.
Hand sanitisers will be at the main entrance and in the breakfast room.
Please respect the 1metre social distance rule at all times.
Breakfast times will be staggered and I will try to accommodate all guests preferred times. There is plenty of space in the breakfast room.
I do ask that you keep to the same table for the duration of your stay.
There will be regular cleaning of general Guest areas.
I will wear gloves, apron and mask when I cook your breakfast.
Please let me know if you have any problems with any of these measures or indeed if you can think of anything I have missed or would make you feel safer.
Well I’m hoping I haven’t put you off and please believe me when I say that I am really looking forward to opening and hopefully getting back to normal at some point. Take care and thank you for your understanding.
Best wishes
Nicky Burgess
